It gives me immense pleasure to present this message celebrating the rich heritage, remarkable achievements, and enduring legacy of Anandapur College, Anandapur. Since its establishment in 1964, the College has remained committed to providing quality higher education, fostering academic excellence, promoting ethical values, and shaping responsible citizens dedicated to nation-building.
A matter of immense pride for our institution is that Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Odisha, is a distinguished alumnus of Anandapur College. His inspiring journey from the classrooms of this institution to the highest executive office of the State reflects the values of perseverance, leadership, integrity, and excellence that our College strives to instil in every student.
Situated on the serene banks of the sacred River Baitarani, Anandapur College was established to fulfil the long-standing aspiration of the people of Anandapur Sub-Division for access to higher education. Beginning its academic journey in July 1964 with just 90 students and six lecturers, the College has grown into one of the leading institutions of higher education in the region.
Today, the College offers undergraduate programmes in Arts, Science, and Commerce, with Honours courses across a wide range of disciplines. With nearly 2,000 students, over 50 dedicated faculty members, modern academic facilities, and hostel accommodation for boys, girls, and SC/ST students, the institution continues to uphold high standards of teaching, learning, research, and inclusive education.
Over the past six decades, Anandapur College has earned a distinguished reputation for academic excellence, commendable university results, research, cultural and literary activities, sports, extension programms, and community service. These achievements are the result of the collective dedication of our students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents, and well-wishers.
As we look to the future, we remain committed to strengthening our academic infrastructure, embracing innovation and digital learning, promoting research, entrepreneurship, skill development, and holistic education, while preserving the values and traditions that define our institution.
